Tom, thank you for the encouragement to keep on the subject! I just got my
latest shipment from Sweet Maria's! If the Puerto Rican AA Yauco Selecto
roasts and tastes as good as it looks, I am in for a real treat! I am
getting a good collection of coffees now, and have been enjoying the great
posts as long as they are coffee related. I have added a thermometer to my
Precision, and am getting a more predictable roast. I have difficulty
hearing the cracks at times, and I am chromatically color blind. (A rare
color blindness of males of Irish decent. no Joke!) I have not done a
light roast in a long time, so I tried a batch of Mexican Tres Flechas. It
was a great light roast!! Tres Flechas is becoming one of my favorite
coffees. The problem now is that I am out and I have many wonderful new
coffees to try!! It is a great problem to have. I want to thank Tom and
Maria for reading these posts and responding. I have a question for you.
In my wonderings on the internet, I discovered that Vietnam is producing
arabica coffees. Do you have any experience with them and if so, what did
you find?
I had my first pot of vacuum brewed coffee tonight. I didn't grind fine
enough so ended up with a tasty cup of Yirgacheffe, but it was a little on
the weak side. I would like to hear more from my list-mates on coffees they
like or dislike, roasting and brewing tips, etc.
