The Sivetz sells for $2,800. I canąt figure out why these machines cost so
much all I want is to make more coffee. Ugh!

Holy cow! That is ridiculous.
I'll stick to my bucket. Oh and now a popper thanks to Kent. I got a
rheostat today. It's hooked to an old motor that still turns too fast
for what I need but the stat is small and perfect for the popper.

John,

They cost this much for the same reason Sivetz charges $400.00 an hour for teaching you what you can learn on this list in two weeks of following the list or digging into the archives. It is the same reason he claims to be "The world's expert on coffee." Having 2 years of personal experience with him my opinion is that it boils down to arrogance and greed! As my sage grandfather would say, "He thinks his crap is ice cream, but his farts give him away!" So thanks for letting me vent. People like him almost drove me to drinking tea!

Anyone who has to proclaim they are "the best" is suspect and arrogant. =
