The Postal Service just delivered a new, to me ,Fuji PXW-5.
The seller never answered me as to it's configuration, but I was able to
get the codes off the side of it. It is a PXW5-RAY1-5V-D. This was on
the label on the side, but there was another unreadable label stuck on
over this one. Also it was manufactured in 1997, and has another
marking- No. 727857T
I think this means that it needs a 24V ac power supply to run it, and
that the control output 1 is Relay Contact, reverse action.
Does this sound correct?
Well, it would be better if I could just run 110 V AC to it, but I can
handle using a transformer if that is what it takes.
I do not know exactly what is meant by the control output description.
Does this mean I can not use a SSR?
And I am not sure what reverse action means? Sounds scary, like perhaps
things will be turning off instead of on. Do I need another relay to get
it so I can use an SSR to turn on my heater ?
Right now it seems like I need to buy a whole bunch more stuff to use this.
Gosh.. so much to learn.
It seems like a nice unit though. It is in a rectangular box with 18
screws on the back. They are all labeled by a diagram on the side. Now I
just need to interpret everything.
Any ideas or suggestions will be humbly appreciated.
Respectfully,
PeterZ
Probably in way over my head, here in LHC.
