Just a note:
Although there are some people (well, at least one) who call the man a
"Chief," generally he's really a "Chef."  The difference is that
although it is possible for a chef to be a chief, it is rare for a chief
to be a chef.  And even when a chef is a chief he's normally called a
"head," although if he's not quite a chief, sometimes he's called a
"sous."
(Grabbing a rare opportunity to be a smartass.)
