Topic: New Pumper, now what? (3 msgs / 92 lines)
1) From: Scott Morrison
I recently had the fortune of picking up a used 1400W Popcorn Pumper at my local Deseret Industies thrift store (only 5$). My question is now what? I do recall it being mentioned to extend the roasting chamber add a soup can, did that, perfect fit. But now I know that I want to disable the thermostat, possibly split wire the heater/fan. Where are directions on how to do these basic mods?
Thanks in advance,
Scott Morrison

I myself just began modifying a P1. I disabled the thermostat, split =
wired
the heater and fan, and wired a control box. I have a lantern globe =
coming
to extend the chamber, and am actively searching for a variac.

Congrats! I believe that the 1400W pumper is an old school model,
similar to the WB1, with a fan motor that takes 110V AC.
This:http://members.cox.net/felixdial/popper.mods.shtmlshould get you started.
The MM Rosto page should also help if you want to boost the fan.
I wants....
