Topic: A weekend at the garage sales... (15 lines)
1) From: Ron L.
This past Saturday was our city-wide garage sale, so I hit about 40 houses (out ot about 240 participating) on a drizzly Saturday morning. Overall, I was a bit dissappointed at my results, but there were a couple of highlights...

1. At one house, there were two young girls sorting through a large bin of Barbie dolls (they were their dolls which were being sold for $1 each). One of the girls held up a Barbie that was missing a leg and asked her dad "Dad, should I throw this one away?". Dad replied "No... That's 'Shark Attack Barbie!'".

2. At another house, there was a boy's bike on the driveway with a sign on it "$50. Like new. Rarely used thanks to a boy who refused to wear a helmet!"

3. I found a Black and Decker Expressio Mio microwave "espresso" maker brand new for $2. My first attempt to use it was not very impressive, but for $2, I HAD to try it. When I return home after this week's business trio, I'm going to try it again...

4. My #1 highlight, I found a Poppery II in like new condition for $2. If I get tired of heat gun roasting, I'll try a popper roast... If I don't like it, I'll offer it to the list as a tradition gift... Stay tuned...

I also saw a Mr. Coffee espresso maker for $15, but passed, a Krups Espresso maker for $25 and passed and a well used Melita brewer for $8, but the plastic cone was cracked...
