Topic: Toshiba Coffee Grinder/Maker (32 lines)
1) From: shelia worthey
well, i have stumbled onto your group in an attempt to find some
spare parts. i too have almost "lost" by beloved Toshiba
Coffeemaker, and it seems they are not in that business any
more. so, i have a request. if you, John Cramer, cannot repair
yours and have not ditched it by now, i sure could use the
plastic drip basket. somehow i noticed it is cracked on the
side from the top and don't think i should super glue it.
amazingly so far it has not leaked but surely it is a matter of
time. i guess i was too young and naive to keep some
replacement parts on hand, have just been very careful. but if
you do have that piece and are willing to part with it, just let
me know what it would cost. obviously, you could ask for the
world, the way we love our machines. i remember when i bought
it in the 80's when i was mid-30's, i thought it was fairly
expensive but did everything i wanted. i was so proud; it has
been my ONLY coffeemaker ever! i still have the box! if i have
to get another one, i am certainly going to do some research
(including Consumer Reports) after reading this site and others.
BTW, have never been involved with any kind of on-line group so
hope i am doing this right. thanks for any help.
