Topic: A crazy blend that really works (for drip) (34 lines)
1) From: Oaxaca Charlie
I've been looking for the best city roast bean for drip coffee,
and, with no Kona in stock, I've settled on a blend that's
turned out better than anything I have by itself.
25% Organic Bolivian Cenoproc
25% Oaxacan Pluma
25% Guatemalan Antigua (Tom's La Flor del Café sounds very
similar to what I'm using)
25% Uganda Bugisu
All are nice and fruity at city-city+ roast. None overwhelm the
others or throw things out of balance. All are very digestable
and satisfying. All are from heirloom varieties. They roast
evenly together. I tried with some CR, that was too much. Some
Colombian MDLS, ditto.
The right Nicaraguan could replace the Bolivian, the right
Panama could replace the Oaxacan. The best El Salvador Bourbon
could replace the Guate. Antigua. ISH could replace the whole
blend...Untill that St. Helena shows up I'm a happy sipper.
