"all the other origins in the same general cup category" -- sorry, not
me. Bought it, loved it, have some on hand, will buy it again -- yep,
that's me. Modding my FreshRoast today, to be able to profile, and hope
to be one of those 200 lb. stash guys with 50 varieties on hand some
day, but for now, it's enough that I tried it and it really stood out.
It does indeed seem to epitomize the "clean cup" coffee category. It's
funny, but I don't think about the price of this coffee; I may be
budget-impaired, and you have some great deals on great coffee, but this
coffee is one of the reasons I do this hobby.
"I would like to ask people a general question and get an honest
answer. Do you think, from just your own experience roasting and
tasting La Minita, and all the other origins you enjoy that are in
the same general cup category (clean cup, sweet, wet-processed,
delicate) that La Minita is worth it? We pass on a price to you that
is double other green coffees, and it is a great specimen, but from
your own experience, do you deeply enjoy it, do you look forward to
it above other coffees, is it interesting.
I feel like I can't ask this in a way that doesn't beg a polarizing
response. It's a general thing with Costa Ricas; as I introduce them
"can a coffee be too perfect" ... meaning so perfect it is not very
exciting. Tell me..."
