Hi all, Without a proper ventilation system I've been unable to do much roasting this winter, but warmer temps have returned to Columbus and I'm back in business! The Ugandan Bugiso. Excellent, smooth, without the gaminess that I found in Thom's first round of this stuff a couple of years ago. That crop was met with accolades here on the list, but I found a sour note that I couldn't quite get over. Worked well in espresso blends though. Kona Purple Mountain. I was in the shop yesterday and Thom gave me a roasted sample to try of his newest and "best ever" Kona. Outstanding! He's right, this is classically soft and balanced with light, but sweet acidity. This is the best Kona I've ever had among all the ones that Thom's ever offered and another I acquired on my own. Very nice. Might even be worth the price to try it. Regards to all, Ed!
