Hi,
I have managed to get a heat gun (2000watt 230volt) with LED heat indicators
of the output air.
It may not be very accurate but it has to be a bonus for rookies like me on
this method. It will indicate over heat and has "glimmer" indication between
LED steps.
Will report.
It is GMC - not the US giant but is

And a heat gun is only $20.  No guarantee it will work, though.

Walmart is selling an inexpensive, large stainless steel bowl, also.  No non
skid bottom on that one.
