After hours of research I think I have found something that will work =
for me. I compared various models and I like the vac 900 Tilia model =
shown in the link above.
While the 1050 is a super deal, as Jean mentioned, it is out of stock =
online on the Costco site. Will be back in about 2 weeks or so. With =
shipping it will probably be about the same price as the 900. It has a =
few features like the bag cutter and roll storage, plus the adjustable =
seal. Not that I care about these features that much, but for the same =
price I can get my hands on this today. Also I located a dozen 6 oz. =
Ball jars at Publix, and made sure the 900 had the hose attachment to =
seal these jars. I like this method of jar sealing because, if I =
understand this correctly, I will not need to freeze. Also I will be =
able to use these jars, actually much larger ones, for green storage.
Thanks for all the feedback.

Anyone have an opinion on the hand operated Pump-N-Seal? It's only $13
here:
 http://www.americanesuperstore.com/hwpns-24.html
and less than $6 on eBay.

Might be a good, cheap alternative if you only want to seal glass jars.

I was going to make a comment on Publix but you beat me to it. I grew up in Florida, one town over form Publix HQ, and worked in one during high school and college. I really miss Publix, they cannot compare to Albertsons or Smiths. I can't say that I ever bought any good coffee from them... oh well.

Hi Dorothy! I didn't know Publix was such a sensation, I will be sure to =
tell those who work their how much others who have left the area enjoy =
it. I must say that every employee that they have could not be more =
courteous and helpful. And they will always special order anything you =
need. Also, your advice on the Tilia situation was superb. Thank you =
ever so much.
Hope Tom and all you beloved 'hillbillies' have some tolerance for my =
offbeat humor!
