Topic: Transformers for Popper Fans (2 msgs / 75 lines)

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the tip on the Proctor Silex pumper.  Does
the transformer you're refering to have DC output, or
AC?  I'm guessing AC, if you're still using the
rectifier.
What do you think about removing the rectifier bridge
and just hooking up a DC transformer?  Any idea on
voltage and current required?

Actually, Radioshack makes a good 2 Amp 25 v transformer that I and =
others on the list have used. If the rectifiers on the motor are OK it's =
as easy as anything. There really isn't such a thing as a DC =
transformer, just AC transformers that have rectifiers on the output =
side so that you get DC.
