Topic: Nicaraguan Margogype (3 msgs / 60 lines)

I noticed the hype about this bean. A batch had just
been roasted, and I was going to reply that it was
hogwash. I roast 10 ounce batches, and they last
about 9 days.
The first few days it was a sickenly sweet brew.
Anyway, today was the 2nd to last day for it, and
YES, it IS a GREAT brew!!! Never has any roast taken
this long to come out of its shell.
From now on, if it's roasted, it'll be a second roast
that day. The first will be drunk, then the Margopye.
When cash is available, and if Tom still has it, 5 - 10
lbs will be ordered.

I finally got around to roasting samples of Nicaraguan Las Nubes samples
from the SCAA convention back a few months ago. Wow. That's all I can say.
I guess I may have to try Tom's offerings of the Nicaragua and see if they
hold up to the samples I just roasted. Very smooth. Nutty like cashews and
with hints of dried cherry. Yum.

Yeah, aren't these huge beans? I was wondering if my SM5K was going to
be able to get them through the grinder :O) I loved mine on day two
but even more so on day three. I've never had a bean last 9 days! I
might when I get the 5 pound roaster running - but not with a half
pound roaster.
Great Beans! Thanks DJ and thanks Tom! (yeah and Thanks Charlie who
originally turned me on to them).
