Topic: the ubiquitous bean drop from Hot Top (3 msgs / 163 lines)
1) From: gin
Ok ladies and gentlemen (loosely used term for the guys!):
Roasting almost 2 years on my HT, I now have a "green bean dropping" issue.
With the beginning of a random roast green beans will simply "drop" onto the
turntable. I will continue throughout the entire roast.
My guess is, since the "cops" took my new roasting scale, I am simply using
a cup to dump green beans in the machine with no real regard to the
weight...
I am tossing in approx. 1 1/3 +/- cups.
ANY THOUGHTS?
No this action from the HT is totally random.

Would expect nothing less from a loose woman. ;)

Sounds like your dump door has gotten gunked up and is occasionally not
closing all the way. I mean, no other possibility, right? If the door =
is
closed beans can't come out.

My thoughts ran along the line of some little tiny person under the =
machine
f'ing with me. I did clean it out and it was filthy.
Score one for Mr. Rick-a-rino
