My mom used to yell at me for lookin to see how things worked, don't
know why I never stopped ;)
This automatic bread machine is not thermally insulated ! Kind of like a
toaster oven.. doesn't have to be. But how come all the controls and the
rubber belt that mixes things do not melt??
Whatever.
When I stripped it down it is even nicer! The oven chamber comes off
with 4 screws, and before that the outer housing comes off with just one
screw.. after you take off the 8 holding on the upper rim.
You must take off the outer housing before the heating element comes
out. It also has a support opposite the connection.
The motor runs fine with the heater out :)
So here is the set up. There is a motor off to the side, that drives
what looks like a gear box, with a toothed rubber belt, all heavy duty,
which has a vertical shaft coming out of the center of it.
Now one could mount a nice sized roasting container to the same holes
the oven chamber was mounted to, and leave it there. The stirrers could
be permanent also. No problem picking up the unit and dumping the beans
after you take off the turbo oven. It can just sit on top.
If one mounted a large ss mixing bowl to this, one could roast a bunch
of coffee!
4 quarts of coffee beans anyone??
