... over most of you having the
skills and material to produce a possibly better cup.
Better than what/whose? This is the most subjective of avocations, no
matter how desperately we attempt to objectify it. In the end we're still
stuck with our tastes. Some find Malabar divine, others find it musty and
undrinkable. C'est la vie!

My wife is put out with my "humor" and said I had to apologize for the "deep
depression" posting - especially since a couple of the kinder-gentler folks
tried to cheer me up. To make amends I'm going to go drink a cup of cold
Postum and contemplate my bad behavior.
Seriously: I love this list and have learned most of what I know about the
coffee process from it. The rest I learned from making bad coffee. My
tongue-in-cheek stems from desperate jealousy over most of you having the
skills and material to produce a possibly better cup.
