WoW! is all I can say about this one.
Sipping my 2nd cappa this am, wonderful, tastes like a mocha, chocolatey
and rich.
Very nice body, would make a great blender for a knock out espresso, I
would think,
with maybe a Harrar and a little bright Central...
But very, very nice on it's own. I roasted it FC,FC+...Going to do the
melange
roast that Tom talked about on the review for some drip, and then going to
take some
just a tad darker to see what happens...Good thing there are 14
bags....Stock up on
this one!!!

I just got a couple of pounds of the Poco Fundo on 12-29-04 from my
mother inlaw as a Christmas gift. I roasted up three popper batches
last night and was supprised by the variability in bean color after
the Full City roast. From a few very blonde beans to tiny spots of
oil. It was like a self made melange roast. I think this contributes
to its harraresque nature. I am loving it. Jared

Bob,
Thanks for the tip. How do you know there are 14 bags? I've often wondered
how much Sweet Maria has in stock. Is there a place on their page that
indicates their quantitites?
Thanks

Dave,
Tom said in his notes descibing the crop that he'd scored 14 bags.http://www.sweetmarias.com/coffee.southamr.brasil.html#poco_fundoI hate to say how really yummy it is because it will disappear.
