Topic: Trip to Kona, etc. (2 msgs / 40 lines)

Well, I'm off to Kona on Sunday to spend a week mostly
looking at coffee farms. At least that's my plan. If
anyone has any connections that I should follow up on
I'd appreciate the info.
Other than that, I bought a small shop drum roaster in
December from a guy in Ohio named Bart Sliger. He's
making them and advertising on Ebay. It runs on
propane. A very well made and solid, if basic,
roaster. It'll do 7 lbs at a time, or under a pound
if necessary. Anyway, I love it. Chances are an RK
drum will work as well for less money, but I still
haven't tried one, and I wanted the actual roaster
than a modified BBQ for visual purposes, too.
Oh, and I've been doing a blend of 60% Uganda, 20%
Rwanda, 20% Harrar roasted to Vienna for espresso. I
like it a lot.
