I don't usually drink much African (except Ethiopian) or Central (or =
much
"coffee", for that matter, being almost entirely an espresso drinker), =
so
when I saw the extraordinary cupping numbers on one of the new Kenyas my
first response was "so what". But I was re-ordering for my "basic =
espresso
blend", and that bottom line number seemed *so* extraordinary . . .
So . . . now that my order for another 5 lbs. is in I can freely say =
. .
. it *is* extraordinary . . . perfect in a vac pot . . .
While you're there do note that the Illy "Espresso Coffee" book is now =
in
stock (highly recommended for the tech minded), and that "Coffee: A
Celebration of Diversity" is still available (but it probably won't be
forever, and when it's gone, and you don't have a copy, you'll surely be
sorry . . . ).

Some day I'll end up with an espresso machine and learn how to use the
thing. However, one of my favorite coffees is Costa Rican. I did, just
today get in the Kenya AAA, the one I assume you are referring to. I
haven't roasted it yet, as I still have a good bit of Costa Rican Tres
Rios and Columbian Mesa de los Santos and Brazilian Peaberry to finish
off. I'm polishing off a pot of the Brazilian tonight...good stuff. But
I do look forward to trying out the Kenya. Also got in some Bolivian and
Tanzanian coffee too, all of which sounded so good I just ended up
ordering it. It was an impulse buy...but in a good way!

ordering it [all].
I did something like that, early on after discovering Sweet Maria's, =
before
settling back into the rut . But I'd been mostly into espresso for =
so
many years that "going back" to other brewing methods just for the =
"light
and bright" wasn't . . . well . . . there just wasn't enough incentive. =
The
Kenya is enough incentive . . .
