It was an honor just to have my name in the martini glass in tribute to
Alfred. Thanks to Ginny and Les for their continuing generosity and
support of this wonderful list. Mickie refers to the List as my "coffee
family". Wise woman.
Time for a Tanqueray Martini as a slaute to Alfred.

I much prefer Bombay Sapphire or better yet, Magellan for martinis and I
reserve the Tanqueray for mixing with tonic - but in tribute to Alfred,
it's Tanqueray in the martinis this weekend.
Try some Magellan sometime. It's French. It's the color of the glass
bottle that Sapphire comes in. If martinis came in God Shots, this
would be it (no crema though).

Now to dig through my stash and see what I have that can be offered up
as suitable "Also in memory of Alfred". Gin & Les, you are a hard act
to follow

It just occurred to me that it would be fitting to name the entire
tradition system after Alfred. When I get around to compiling the
origin of the tradition I could harvest Alfred's posts from the archive
and have them as a page as well.

What a great idea! Renaming the tradition system after Alfred has my vote.
