Topic: older gaggia coffee machine (28 lines)
1) From: Bob Holland
Hi Will,
Coffee Gaggia was my first real pump machine. I still have it and loan
it out to folks to try the "espresso experience". Very strong pump,
heavy PF, and the early Gaggia Coffees were built on commercial
components. I had to have the pump replaced after 5 years and the
mechanic said the replacement pump was commercial grade and the plumbing
was high quality. It is a bit noisy and the steam volume will only do
for a couple of latte's. Way above the steam toys, but no prosumer
performer...

I'm thinking of picking up an older gaggia coffee.
Anyone here have feedback on these machines?
I want a silvia eventually, but that's not going to happen for at least
5-6 months and the pump in my krups thermobloc just isn't enough to get
a real double shot out of.
Will
