Excuse the plug but I had to share this:
We had prepared a pot of this coffee in the store (Philips Drip Machine with
SS carafe). at 9:30 am.
Around 5 p. m. I proceeded to clean up the pot and found 6 ounces left.
Warmed in the microwave (I know it's a No-No) and it was still Very
Drinkable.
This is a very polite Sumatra, complex, refined and still has the Sumatra
identity...a really fine coffee.
Roasted it on the dark side of Full City...not as dark as I used to roast
Sumatras

AHA! Someone else who will admit that re-heated old coffee is not that awful.
When I used to drink the Maxwell House they insist on buying at the office, I would find that it tasted better after a day. It was never what I would call "good" but it WAS smoother the next day!

Personally I think it is great. I use it to patch holes in my driveway.

Young McQ,
I also just got some of the Tawar and stopped the first roast just before
2nd crack too. I found it to be an interesting Sumatra with a fairly strong
fruity after-taste. The wife feels it's a bit too fruity, so I plan to take
it into 2nd on my next roast to see what I get. All around a good Sumatra,
but IMO not the caliber of last years Triple Pick that Tom had on the list.
Last years Triple Pick was absolutely the best Sumatra I've tasted.
Also have been roasting the La Minita Tarrazu and Dota beans that Tom
recently stocked. Both are excellent with the La Minita being our all time
favorite.
Coffenut :^)
