Topic: African Highland WP Decaf Blend (3 msgs / 53 lines)

I pulled some very fine Cappos with the African Highland WP Decaf
Blend this morning for Becky and Lydia. I had a straight shot. It
was a bit bright, but then did a half caf with the African Highland WP
Decaf Blend and Indian Parchment. Wow was that ever good! Hard to
describe. Complex for sure with a smooth spicy aftertaste. As I am
finishing lunch, I pulled an Americano 2 x 4 of the African Highland
WP Decaf Blend and it was just awesome. I might get to like these
decafs after all.

Thanks for the info, Les. I just got some of the African Highland WP
Decaf and hadn't had a chance to roast it yet. Definitely looking
forward to it with your review.
I've really been impressed with the decafs from SM. They taste good
on their own and they blend very well (most of the time) with the caf
beans. There was a decaf Tom and Maria had a while back that I was
using in all my blends. It had a very good "coffee" taste and a hint
of fruit. He's out of it now and I don't remembe the name. Probably
could find it at home. I have empty bags of SM coffee all over the
house. Talk about addiction behavior!

This has become my standard go-to coffee. That said, I'm not entirely sure
how I ended up with two twenty pound bags! I think I'll blame the messy
closet rather than incipient Alzheimer's.
