Topic: New automated roaster? (4 msgs / 62 lines)
1) From: Theis P. Hansen
Have you seen this one (in German):http://www.dieckmann-aroma-kaffee.de?
Basically seems like a heatgun and drum build together - automated
dogbowl? How about chaff?
Any ideas about this design for a roaster?
Happy roasting,
Theis

Someone brought this up about 5 months ago. Many thought it was a simple
and effective approach to countertop roasting. People's general concern was
that it would litter the kitchen with chaff blown out of the drum. I've not
heard from anyone who has used one. Dan

I saw it discussed at www.toomuchcoffee.com - apparently it is
supposed to be used with the stores own polished, chaffless greens.

It is what inspired this. http://chocolatealchemy.com/zenii.phpMy general thought was it had a lot of wasted heat.
