it is tuff, a real pain in the ass actually.
I am driving to Oregon in the morning. I will swing by and you can toss all the junk you do not want into my "little black 4x8" trailer.
How cool would that be? A trailer full of Sweet Maria's cast off's?
WOW.

... but the new building is going to be great.
So this is the big week we move, and I am about to burst a blood
vessel over it. 12 hour days for the past several weeks. If I seemed
distracted at the SCAA show, I was! (Well, the show sort of makes my
head spin regardless ... it's hard to focus there.) So we have some
incoming coffees that are pretty special and I am trying to get them
on the list. Basically, this week we ship Mon and Tues, close Wed and
Thurs, and ship again Friday. The idea was to prevent any big weekend
backlogs, so I think any order placed by Monday PM or Tues AM should
be on it's way. We might be able to send some orders Thursday but
we'll just have to wait and see. The new place is nice. We are about
20 blocks south, bigger building, better organization, etc. The real
cupping room will have to come later, but even the one I am setting
up today is a LOT better than the crammed little corner I was working
with at the old place. Another fun project (but one that has to go on
the backburner for a couple weeks) is the fact I have a 12 K Diedrich
again. I couldn't help myself (not like we need them for capacity). I
"discovered" this roaster locally and the price was, well, I couldn't
help myself! So now I will roast on a Probat and a Diedrich and the
cool thing is that I can direct a particular coffee to the best
roaster for it: Probat for espresso, for "deeper-toned" coffees,
Diedrich for cleaner, brighter coffees like Kenyas, Yirgacheffes,
etc. It will be fun! The next week is going to be rocky, and I am way
behind on my personal emails etc. I have not been able to keep up
with the list too well either, sorry. Usually I am at least scanning
everything and reading the topical threads, but there just aren't
enough hours in the day.

Tom, could you elaborate on the "why" of this? When you get a free moment,
that is!

We're very happy, both for you and for us. Get some sleep when it's done.
