Man, got used to number ranges for all types of brewing gotta change 'em!
Replaced Rocky's burrs and now +12 instead of -2 for zero. First test shot
at 17 into it 12sec and not a drop, stalled Missy. Next shot at 19 pulled a
super ristretto, 'bout 1/2oz from double LM load! And it was excellent shot.
BTW, pulled from beans roasted Sept 15th, sent to me by Jim Schulman, his
1234 blend. 'Bout half pint jar kept vac sealed and frozen. Next shot @ 20
(+8) pulled a perfect double, "only" 75 to 80% crema settling to 'bout 30%
after a minute, from them "old" beans. Tasted great too;-) BTW again, ain't
no Robusta neither, don't need or want it for great crema and great tasting
shots!
Gotta go saute' up some jumbo shrimps with garlic, greens onions & wine to
go with the portabella mushroom alfredo for dinner...

The new teeth that I ordered for my Major should arrive this week. I'll
let you know if I get a big zero point swing too. I'm back to using the
$Bucks Barista for about another week so I can't really do a good
comparison with espresso since the Barista seems to produce nearly the
same shot no matter how much you screw it up, but next week I'll
probably have Venus back in action and I'm anzious to see what grind
settings she'll take.
Thanks for the heads up - you probably saved me 2 or 3 wasted shots.

Since Tom doesn't carry replacement burrs I'll name names. I would call and
check with 1st Line, Chris's Coffee, Espresso Parts NW, Whole Latte Love
etc.

I remember years ago that Mazzer sold burrs for many other grinders....

Sue,
I ordered mine fromhttp://www.espressoparts.comand should receive them
Wednesday. They took a couple days to ship, but they called me and told
me there would be a delay and asked if it was OK. If burrs for your
grinder aren't listed, I'd give them a shout. They may have a cross
reference list and may be able to help you.
