Topic: My hottop (6 msgs / 104 lines)

Hi guys,
My hottop was finally sent back to Vineus.
Then they told me they no longer warrant them.
It's HottopUS.com that does. It's the maker
that has set up a US operation in RI. Vineus
was canned by Hottop, due to lousy service.
Anyway, in my conversation with the Hottop guy
it was told me that there's a new version. It
has an automatic cool down cycle, should a new
roast be started while it's hot. There's also a
"heat" button that will display the ambiant temp
in the roast chamber in F or C when pressed.
It's called their 'digital' model.
It's a $100 upgrade. They shipped it today. I'll
let you know how it does.
Peace to all,
John

That URL is close but you need to add the A the US to make it work.http://www.hottopusa.comOn Wed, 2005-05-11 at 22:57 -0400, John Cramer wrote:

My Hot Top is over a year old and has the old control panel. It also will g=
o
into cool down cycle if you try to do back to back roast.
When you try to roast while the roaster is still hot the cool cycle starts=

and it will beep when the roaster is at the proper temperature to start a=

new roast.

We ordered the upgrade several months ago, installed it, and I love it.
I think you'll be happy. Adding time is more versatile, and the
internal temp gauge is good.

I have been using the new panel for about three weeks now without any problems. Also, the new panel comes with a new "Profile" setup and I am working on figuring out what the difference is between the old profile and the new profile.

I have it. Replaced my old-style panel. I love it. 'Nuff said.
