Topic: My lattes taste like... (2 msgs / 39 lines)
1) From: Andy Meredith
Recently, everything that has come out of my espresso machine (Krups
Cafe Bistro II I think) has tasted like dirt... or mold... or worse. I
have tried running vinegar water through the machine several times to no
success. My espresso still tastes like sewer sludge and my lattes taste
like a 10-year-old slice of bread. Is there anything that I can do, or
do I need to dish out another several hundred dollars for a decent
espresso machine? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Try the following three things:
1. Use Bottled Water, see if this changes anything (rule out the water)
2. Clean your grinder using 1/2 c rice, then grind a few OZ of beans
and toss them... try brewing again (rule out the grinder)
3. Brew your favorite bean, put it in a cup, take it way outside and
enjoy in a different environment (try to rule out the house)
This is my poor man's recommendation...
Brett
