Topic: New Drip setup... (2 msgs / 60 lines)
1) From: Obrien, Haskell W.
Ok, I've been Mr. Espresso at my house for a while. When we moved, we
tossed our old drip machine which had met with a series of unfortunate
events.
My wife is back in school again, so we need a drip machine.
I've got my eye on a Presto Scandinavian. It's held in regard similar
to the Melitta Clarity over on coffeegeeks.
I need to pick out a new grinder to go with it. Preferably electric.
My iberital just isn't suited for anything but espresso.
I'd like a reasonably priced grinder, say less than $140.
Suggestions? I'm considering a Solis Maestro classic.

For coarser than espresso the Maestro Classic should be fine and is
ergonomically friendly. Does good job for vac, press (and oh no drip;-) If
you try to use it for espresso it's burr carrier allows to much slop fine
grinding with intermittent clash which wears out the burrs quickly.

To know I must first not know. And in knowing know I know not. Each Personal
enlightenment found exploring the many divergent foot steps of Those who
have gone before.
