Topic: Non- SweetMarias Product Discussions (48 lines)
1) From: Tom & Maria - Sweet Maria's Coffee
As a general comment, we want to talk about all products in an
informed way. so if somebody thinks a Antigua is better than a
Maestro, they should write about it and say why! We are here to learn
and need to talk about other products. I benefit from these
discussions too, since I cannot possibly do hands on research, for
example, every espresso machine out there, but on this list we have
many people who have first hand experience with multiple machines and
can share their first-hand thoughts.
But I would ask that you email someone off list if you want to find
out where they bought a product we do not sell. I also would like to
discuss the quality of products and avoid a lot of talk about price.
This is for the same reason we ask not to have links to other
commercial sites posted directly on the list ... I don't want to have
a "where can I get it cheaper" bargain shopper culture here.
So here's the answers as I see them:

No, except retail green coffee

People can email about specific sources off list. But as said, there
is no restriction about discussing things we don't sell.

I think that is a good discussion to have, and definitely informative
list material. If someone tears apart, for example, a Andreja Premium
and an Expobar Office Pulser and wants to comment on internals, we
all benefit from this ... All prducts have some downsides, all
deserve some criticisms, and what we stock is not at all immune - you
might notice a fair amount of criticism in how I review products we
sell!
