Has anyone put names like city/full city to the agtron color tiles.
I am doing a check and it looks to me lke the ciy might be a #55 and full city+ 45
My 21" monitor, very tweeked for graphics, show a huge difference from my 17" laptop.
Printing Tom's agtron from tweeked I get very close to the actual agron tiles I have.
With the 45 we are looking at moderately dark, 45 medium.
Sound right to anyone?

Thanks Dan,
the 21 is a CRT, Sony.

Ginny, Roast names like 'City' are more closely aligned with temperature,
not color, so color comparisons aren't going to be a good degree of roast
measure unless you are using it to track the same bean, say Brazil Mogiana
2002, from batch to batch as in a commercial roast operation.
21"? Dang, I'm using a 19" CRT, also tweaked for graphics. I prefer CRTs
for graphics work, LCD seem to be too contrasty and poor color depth. What
do you think? Dan

Ginny, Dan,
I'd like to be able to see something consistent - re: city, city+, etc.,=

it'd be nice to know I was talking the same language as others when it come=

to degrees of roast.
What "tweaking" did you do to the monitor, software? And what files are yo=
u
looking at for color comparisons? My desktop runs XP home and has a 19" Son=

Multiscan 400PS attached, middle of the road NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. =
I
do my digital pics with a Kodak EasyShare Z740. I've got Photoshop and
Corel.
 Reply off-list if you'd like - this probably fringes on non-coffee related=
