I went by Studio 35 on the way home last night but didn't see "Yeah Me Too" - but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I'll look again - it's an interesting neighborhood - wouldn't mind seeing Jovan again. Dave <Snip> <Snip> <Snip>
Here's something from Columbus Alive: Best Iced Cup of Jo Yeah, Me Too 3005 Indianola Ave. Jo as in Jovan Karcic, who along with Sam Brown and Annie Light-Brown are local indie rockers now also running the Yeah, Me Too coffeehouse in Clintonville. "Coffeehouse" might be an exaggeration considering that Yeah, Me Too is little more than a storefront with an old-fashioned roaster and a modicum of standing room. But their product is special. While the place rightfully does much of its business selling pounds of freshly roasted beans, it also excels with its liquid buzzy stuff, especially the summer-friendly iced coffee. Yeah, Me Too's iced caffeine juice is "cold-brewed" and therefore never boiled, which seems to greatly reduce the bitterness and acidity. But be careful, this stuff is delicious and potent. Kudos to the kids for going from lo-fi rock to low-tech but artisanally high-quality coffee with equal commitment. For $5,500 you can get a Ambex YM-2 which seems to be a better deal. Randy
Yeah, that was around the price - $3500 sticks in my head - outrageous. It may be a sample roaster, but not a home roaster unit. At 11:13 8/10/2005, you wrote: <Snip> John Nanci AlChemist at large Zen Roasting , Blending & Espresso pulling by Gestalthttp://www.chocolatealchemy.com/
Traffic was light on the ride in this AM, so I had a chance to look more carefully. "Yeah, Me Too" seemed to be in business this morning, about 8:00. The "OPEN" sign was up, and I saw someone moving around inside. Didn't have time to stop - maybe tomorrow... Guess I'll have to start readine Columbus Alive. Dave Westerville, OH <Snip>
