Topic: New Orleans style coffee AND beignets (3 msgs / 48 lines)
1) From: Susan Wolfe
When my daughter graduated college as a thank you she took me to New
Orleans French Quarters. One of the places in the French Quarters we
went to was The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand established in 1862
open 24/7 closed on Christmas Day. The following site tells about Cafe
Du Monde and beignets. Ahhh, what a fun time! What a great daughter!

look easy enough to make...I think I'll suprise my wife on her next day off=

it'll have to do for the time being :-)

Enough! Now, I'm going to have to go over to Coffee Call (Baton Rouge's
version of Cafe du Monde" for some beignets and cafe au lait.
I've got some chicory (from Tom's) but I don't make beignets that are worth
a darn.
