"I'd buy it again in a minute" "I'd buy it again in a minute" "I'd buy it=
again in a minute" "I'd buy it again in a minute" Absolutely, but an
unlikely necessity. Ethiopian Sidamo- few snaps into second, 96 hours ago=
I play the following game with my KB 741 10 cup on Tom's reccommendation:=
grind 32 grams in Solis MP, 3 clicks coarser than excellent espresso grind,=
right into the paper cone filter that I'm holding right under the coffee
chute in my hand. Paper is flexible as heck and it works like a charm- I
lose nary a grain.
When it has ground all the coffee I put in, I "get mechanical" with it unti=
every last grain is in the filter cone. Quick into the funnel, switch on th=
TechV, block flow out of funnel until reservoir is at 8.5 cup water level.=
1/2 open funnel- 2 more cups. Close funnel and "walk it around" to 100% wet=
all the grounds. 1/2 open again until 2 cups water level in reservoir.
About now, the drip stream is losing opacity so I close the funnel and
switch off the TechV. Just let it extract for about 20 seconds. Then turn o=
TechV and open the funnel 1/2- run to completion. When the funnel starts
dripping individual droplets, I close it and pour the carafe into a
pre-heated pump pot. 9.75 cups in a 1.9L container is just a little over
half full. I could do it again and have a Captain Morgan stein left over.=
It's been 13 years... but this Ethiopian Sidamo is Huge! Deep, Dark and
Terrific! And it's gaining by leaps and bounds as it cools in the cup.
Aftertaste is just Unbelieveable! I really like this...
Hi- my name is Ray, and I'm a coffee-holic. I might not quit any time soon.=
Oh, how Sweet It Is! And this small roast (1 Lb) is just starting a long,=
slow surge in flavor. As the tang subsides, it's getting sweeter.
Egad- Sweet Marias Rules-
Ethiopian Sidamo Rules-
Say Goodnight, Ray.
The Hell with that!
