Topic: Vac pot timing (3 msgs / 66 lines)

I'm experimenting with a Hario Nuevo vac pot. Currently making about 10oz
(water) with about 15 g of coffee.
The manual I got suggests 45 seconds before putting out the flame and
letting it return to the bottom. "Cupping" suggests a 3 minute soak at 197.
Wondering what those on the list use for the amount of time the coffee and
water intermix before draining back to the bottom?

I get the best results following the "manual" recommendation with my
Hario, using 1 scoop per "cup".

I use 1 minute timing after the water starts to come up. I stir and wait
for the minute to pass before I pull the lamp out of the bottom.
