Hi Folks,
Can we please get back to coffee? We are well over 50% on OT chat,
even in threads that are marked with coffee subjects.
We are working on repairing the forum board. It was a major glitch
but won't happened again (plus we'll have backups if it does).
Anyway, that's what Beta Testing is all about. (if you notice, there
is no mention of the forum on our actual web pages so it never was
really "announced" except to the list.)

OK--to get us back on-topic:
Hope I am not jinxing anything by asking the following question:
We all know the quintessential celebratory beverage is champagne.
But if the Sox win the World Series tonight in a game anywhere near
as long as last night's 14-inning marathon, it would occur closer to
most people's wake-up time rather than bedtime, requiring a stimulant
rather than alcohol . So what should I roast as a celebratory coffee
for tonight (knowing, of course, it would be insufficiently outgassed)?

Better make sure the Sox aren't outgassed first.

betting there won't be a shutout, in Houston

Sandy,
I would roast Monsooned Malabar. It kind of tastes like socks to me! If the
Astros win, I would go with a cinnamon roasted Kenya. The brightness would
put the taste-buds in orbit! Especially if pulled as a ristretto.
