Agreed, but neither is exactly tough to figure out.  The PII can easily have a switch installed in the main heater circuit to give a good cool cycle, and the PII cools quicker as it doesn't have all that mass in the roast chamber to hold heat like the PI.
I do wonder what the ultimate motor life between the two poppers is?  The PI motor is much larger and more robust, but it seems the PII motors last and last, too.  During the 'wb roaster' development, West Bend co. went through bags and bags of cheap robusta coffee for life testing the roasters.  Must have smelled horrible, but the life of the wb tested out to be over 100# of coffee, I beleive.  That's a lot of roasts.
