My 5lb of Brazil Carmo Estate Peaberry showed up yesterday. Between my
order and it arriving they ran out.
Neener neener.

Actually, I'm curious what others have to say about this one. I found
it to be a very nice cup. Relaxing to drink, really.

I love Harvey, but I broke down and got some new cups and another
steaming pitcher, so ups was required.

I only wish I'd ordered a full 20lbs! My last order of this was 5lbs
and it's been extremely popular both in my cup and with a customer. I
find that it's arguably my favorite bean when it's taken to FC+ and then
brewed in the KMB. There's quite a bit of complexity and the moderately
deep finish is astoundingly enjoyable.

I really liked this coffee. I roasted it FC+ and I remember tasting dark
chocolate and nuts and smelling molasses. Good as an espresso too. It's in the
top 3 beans I've had from SM.
I received 1 lb of it in a sampler and by the time I had a chance to taste it 2
weeks later it was gone. I think I have about 1/3 lb left frozen in my freezer.
(I have to stockpile a bit this time of year.)
A friend of mine also loved it but said it gave him headaches.

Yes, it is one of my favorites. It got the 5# award and I still have
most of that 5#, I think I've roasted 1 pound out of it.
I ordered a pound of it the first time, and without ever tasting it I
read the notes on the package...nuts, chocolate...some of my favorite
flavors. Why did I order only one pound of this?
So, luckily, before it ran out, I had 5# on an order. I have so many
favorites and several 5# bags that it will last me a while. I still have
one pound of Eth. Harrar Horse left from 5# which I bought back early
Spring, I think it was. The hard part is always looking up on the
shelves and trying to decide what to roast...they all look so good.
Today I had a thermos full of another favorite which should be on the 5#
award...but didn't have the money to put it there when I ordered it last
time...though I really wanted to. I bought 2# of it and it has been
sitting in my stash for several weeks now. When I was roasting Sunday, I
remembered that I had that in there, and dug it out. It is the Brazil F.
St. Helena that has great flavors.
However, I'm going to sacrifice, as the Brazil Peaberry may be one of
the coffees I use as gifts this Christmas. Maybe I'll let a pound of it
go to someone special!
