I had returned my Alp for repair a few weeks back. It was more than likely
out of warranty, but Anthony at Swissmar offered to replace the gear(s) I had
probably stripped on the half-moon doors, readjust it a little hotter and
check it out for me. I paid shipping both ways.
My Alp is home again and I have completed two roasts. Swissmar has more than
stood behind their product and customer satisfaction. It now roasts like
never before. It gets to first crack at about 12 minutes and can end the
roast at about 15 to 15:30 minutes, just prior to second crack. They even
included a pound of coffee to practice with.
I am finally satisfied with the Alp and more than satisfied with the service
I received. It says a lot for Swissmar and for the companies Tom chooses to
deal with on our behalf.
