Topic: Thrift Shop Find (4 msgs / 60 lines)

Sorry but I have to express my joy somewhere; I'm not trying to boast or
anything.
Yesterday my wife and I were out thrift shopping when I found a P1!!!
There it was on a shelf next to Pop-Lite. Tan and tall, it was beckoning
to me. I picked it up and noticed the price: $3.20! So here I am
grinning ear to ear and wife could tell what I had found just by looking
at me.
It was a great way to end the day with a find like that. I've been to
countless thrift stores to no avail, but now I have succeeded in my quest.

Congratulations, Greg. The very first popper I found in a thrift store
was a P1. I've bought probably half a dozen poppers in thrift stores
since, but haven't seen another P1. Good to hear that, though rare (at
least in my experience), they are still out there.

You have discovered the secret joy of the secondhand store. I rejoice that
the folks who make it their business to stamp out fun apparently never shop
in thrift stores or secondhand bookstores. Shhhhh!

Greg,
Congrats! Excellent find! Price is better than the last half dozen
I've found, I usually end up paying $5 or so (but have paid as much
as $30 + SH from eBay).
