Topic: Adjusting water temperature (2 msgs / 40 lines)
1) From: Greg C. Rose
Hey all,
Recently I checked the water temperature in my drip brewer. I know that
we are to shoot for 200F water, but mine isn't. I use a home model Bunn.
It is fast, and I do like it, but since testing the water temperature I
have to wonder if I'm not getting all that my coffee has to offer.
Instead of storing the water at 200F as it claims to do, the water is
pouring out of the spray head at 175F at best. Is this adjustable, or am
I stuck with "cool" coffee? Anyone else have a similar problem?

The commercial Bunn has an adjustable thermostat, but I am not sure if the
home model does, or if a commercial thermostat could be put into a home
machine. Of course, if you want to totally go off the deep end, you can add
a PID controller. I would actually consider this, but I am a bit crazy.
