Thanks for the post. Well put. On point. Body art is way cool. I am headed to Las Vegas next week for some body art, I have designed a way cool piece I want to add to my body.
I was going to go to Santa Cruz, CA but don't want to drive that far right now and the guy I found has colors to die for...

Now I have heard of spiked hair, but how do you spike a face or nose, or
is that another term for piercing? or perhaps way unruly nosehair?

Don't tell anyone, but...
there is some grand charbucks conspiracy to hire the SAME EXACT
TEENAGERS at all of their stores worldwide...
ALSO,
somewhere charbucks has a huge clonefactory churning out mindless
teenagers to do their evil bidding
We all know it - and it's true...
AND,
they are trying to tag all thew wild squirells in Boston, and track
their movement.
SO,
we should fight the borg!
BUT,
I think Ginny is right...
APART from these chaarbux clones,
WE are ALL dIfFeReNt...
So,
Have some coffee. For me it was Kona Purple Mountain in a cafe crema at no=
on...
And I used my Rocky

   not ROCKYman....

The poor bastard went to Starbucks for advice...
He was conducting research...
He talked to a very young manager of a high volume generic dark
roasted beverage pusher...
so, would you trust his judgement in your next lawsuit (and I don't
care what side you are on...) ?
Kinda begs the question of "What is this jokester really up to?"
    - o r -
Does he actually have a brain?
    - o r -
Is he anywhere near anybody's sense of a right mind?
So I decided to go with the in your face response...
But it IS amazing...

hmm i have lots o piercings, sorta spiky messy hair, listen to indie rock,
and i would never work at corperate coffee, but thats just me, plus i'm 35
and have to support a family
and by the way as a super elitist non autodrip coffee guy, why would you
even want to buy one??? (where's the winky guy icon???)

Brett, you call that "an in your face" response? Not really. It is just
more ad hominems. You know, the bastard, the jokester, brain comments. I
guess, however, little more can be expected. I know many people that feel
threatened by different opinions, feel the need to attack; feel the need to
hide their insecurities behind pomposity and a false sense of intellectual
superiority. It is fairly common now days and runs across all demographics.
It is generally incurable but easy to be ignored.
Where does it say that I went to Starbucks to get advice or conduct
research? I mean I don't want the facts to interfere with your need to try
to try to sound reasonably smart, but please point out for me where you
might find support for your supposition? I am curious.
I am quickly learning to find this forum is less about coffee and more of a
place for some folk to pretend to be the intelligentsia of caffeine while
hiding intellectual insecurities. I am going to start my "ANN COULTER
WANNABE of the Month Award and right now Derek and Brett are neck and neck.
BTW, the winner gets a cup of Starbucks. My presence is optional.

10) From: Brett Mason
Lemme see...
Research:
"I needed a new coffee brewer and have been doing some research. (I
thank the many of you that have offered suggestions.)"
Association with Starbucks:
In the meantime, the other day I was having lunch next to a $tarbucks
and decided to check out their coffee brewers.
OK, so I knee jerked that your first two sentences were accurate. My bad.
But you went off on a manager at Starbucks? Have you considered that
the manager was right?
Obviously we can search and search, and maybe come up with a readily
available coffee maker with a slightly higher temp - but cmon, she was
right. You can't drive to your closest 5 stores and find one that
offers anything better than she offered.
I wish I knew as much as you, or could be as right as you! But I live
down here with the real people, and I find your actions and humorous
account to be more condescending than anything offered at Starbucks.

....and we have a winner. And no, she is not right, by any stretch of the
imagination. Sounds like some Bushisms coming on. You know, "If I say it it
is true, it is true." Ipse dixits are boring.
But then again it is early in the month. Lets see how much more
backpedaling hyperbole coupled with a strong dose of hypersensitive
political correctness, we can get on one thread. Run, Forrest, run.

I think, I THINK, the point Geary was trying to make is that
you are all painting teenagers with the same broad brush,
which is wrong in and of itself, and also at the same time
somehow atttributing that to the char place. Ginny as you pointed out
we are all different, and unless you want us to believe that there is some
grand charbucks conspiracy to hire the SAME EXACT TEENAGERS at all
of their stores worldwide, that somewhere charbucks has a huge clone
factory churning out mindless teenagers to do their evil bidding, than it simply
isn't POSSIBLE to have the same negative experience at every single one......
unless maybe the problem is a little closer to home. Comments about "listening to
Green Day", and "spiked faces and noses" indicate to me there is a little
more to the rants than charbucks alleged rudeness.......of course
i could be way off course and this is all of course IMO (i am a little biased since
i have body art, and listen to green day (of course).....Vic---------------------------------
