I haven't got the latest Harar, not yet. But all this talk made me roast
three Ethiopian coffees in my search for blueberries:
Ethiopian Wet-Processed Sidamo
This wasn't singled out for blueberry flavors & I found none. Roasted to
FC/FC+. Smells great, smells great, it just fills your senses completely.
Dried fruit (plum & grape), some spicy pepper,
Ethiopian Harar Horse Lot 532 (thanks Jeff!)
C+/FC roast. Aromatic & flavorful but not as broad the Sidamo -- narrower &
more intense. The cup has dried fruit too, some floral notes, and just a
hint of blueberry.
Ethiopian FTO Harar Oromia Coop
C+/FC roast. Scent between the Horse & the Sidamo. Dried fruit & a bit of
pepper, hints of chocolate and blueberry. I like the chocolate flavors.
This has underscored the fact that I really like Ethiopian coffees. I like
all of the above. But if I had to choose just one of the coffees it'd be th=
e
wet-processed Sidamo -- even though it has no blueberries!
