For anyone who may be interested, a vintage Zass sidewinder went for
US $135.52 on ebay yesterday:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4453526095&rd=1&sspa=gename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I was watching that one, and quit when it went above $60. Knew THAT
one was not for me... But it would have gone well with my others...
Brewing a single cup in my SwissGold One Cup right now - and yes I
ground it with my Zass 151 (hard to see the blue ink is so faint)

Oh, yeah! It was something about a "horse's Zass"... I don't
remember it, exactly.

You know Angelo, if I didn't know better I would assume you don't
think much of the Zassenhaus mills, and maybe this one in particular?
Rode on the short bus,

Brett,
I have, and love, my Zass 59 (?) knee mill and
the Zass Turkish mill. I also "love" my Armin
Trösser and PB Acciaio Macina, but I didn't pay
over $60 (Zass 59) for any of them - and that was
new from SM. I just think that the price is too
high, but if he wants to pay that, fine..
I have a Selmer MK VI tenor sax that I've been
offered $5,000 for. I think these people are nuts
to pay that...But if they have the bread and
think it's gonna make them play like Coltrane, go
for it..I know it didn't work for me. Although,
I can sound a lot like Carmen Lombardo.:-)

Hey I'd listen to you anytime... As long as there's coffee and a nice
sunset behind ya...
That Zass was a really neat looking mill, unique to me - I had never
seen a Zass like that... Someone must have loved it. Maybe it had
gold inside?
Glad you love your mills - Did you know that some people don't like
them? Hard for me to believe too... I have a 151 at work, a 499 at
home, a Trosser at home too, an electric Cory grinder (1950s), and a
Rocky. Recently I was camping, and I used a plastic glass to crush
beans into a fry pan. I forgot a hand mill...
Cheers,
Brett
