Topic: 'Gold' in stash reduction (4 msgs / 65 lines)
1) From: Michael Dhabolt
I've been trying to stay in a disclipined 'Stash Reduction' posture
recently. I've been seriously diminishing my selection of bags and
partial bags of greater than one year old beans.
Prior to bed, while pre-stageing for my morning coffee ---- I realized
that I had about a half a PF full of roasted coffee. In the wee hours
I was forced to roast a pound, so I quickly chose the two beans (on
top of the pile) that I thought would make an acceptable blend. The
beans? Guatemala Barillas - Neuvo Bullaj Co-Op and Sulawesi Toraja
Grade 1. Roasted to City~~City +, post roast blended.
Eight hours later I pulled the obligatory morning Cappas for Loretta
and myself - absolutely stunning....quickly followed by a restritto -
- even more impressive. An underline to the fact that I sometimes
lose track of what outrageously superb greens we are privileged to
have access to, through Tom. Thank You, thank you....thankyou.

Hi Mike (just plain),
Haven't seen this Mike for awhile either. Good way to reduce stash is
to stay away from the list. Too many enticing descriptions of beans.
I get to put in an order this Sunday and am so looking forward to it.
Good to hear from you again.

I thought that stash reduction sounded like a good idea...
Then I found myself ordering 5 pounds of the latest Kenya that Tom says "yo=
u
have to try."

Thank you for the thought. My normal posture is lurking - I try to
interject if I feel I have anything worthwhile to contribute. Finding
such exceptional greens that have been overlooked for better than a
year was, for me, worthwhile.
