Topic: KitchenAid and dust. Final follow up (26 lines)
1) From: PAUL RIFKIN
I received the replacement Kitchen Aid yesterday. Set
it up and replaced the old one in the box and prepared
it to ship back. Ran the new one. Grind more
consistent and little dust. Still a lot of grounds in
machine but I guess that is the design and a
replacement ain't gonna fix it. As to the explanation
of the dust from the original machine when I checked
it the last time I noticed that there was metal
scaring on the inner surface of the grind adjustment
knob that holds the movable burr in place. My guess
is that the construction was faulty. After two grinds
of the new machine no such metal on metal evidence is
to be seen.
