Wow, what a different coffee blend. I ordered a pound of this pre-roasted
to see how it is supposed to taste and see the degree of roast that is
preferred for it. All I can say is that it floored me. I used a med-fine
grind in my Aeropress to make a strong base, then cut with water. This is
how I use the Aeropress most of the time, put enough grinds and water in for
an espresso style strength, then cut to taste for a regular cup of joe. I
love how much the taste changes from the initial hit in the front of the
mouth, to a completely different taste and feel going down the back of the
tongue and into the throat.
Again, all I can say is wow what a blend, definitely not your normal cup of
joe. I have blended a lot of different types of beans, from a mocha type
blends to others, and nothing has anything near this taste. Looks like a 5
lb order of green for Harvey will follow really soon. Will have to keep
most of this bag away from my son until Harvey finds my house. I can't wait
to try some of Tom's other Blends.
And just think, 6 months ago I thought the coffee beans from Barnies was
great. (Still love the DDC, Decadent Dark Chocolate though)

Thanks for the timely info. I've been trying to decide just which espresso
blends to try.
