Dean's roomate. <Snip> Dick Heggs wrote "My coffee in the hospital was terrible, I really should be looking for more pity for myself and terrible institutional coffee." Please send him homeroast as well - bean'wild! |
Dean, I just got out of the hospital after a fairly risky serious operation. My advice, trust your doctors, rely on the health care workers to do their job, lay back and watch all the blinking lights. Smile all the way through it (they will wonder what they did wrong to make you smile). Focus more on the other patients and try and cheer them up - it takes your mind off the pains and worries you might have. Avoid the negative, keep an upbeat attitude....you'll feel better, heal better. I had 7 great wonder days in the hospital. except for the coffee. I think they must collect the used grounds from Starbucks and recycle them through some 18th century commercial coffee urn. <Snip> Surely the food sucked as well. --PR |
I tried not to whine about the food. I was on zero water or food for 4 days, after that anything looked good but the dishwater leavings in the coffee cup. Well, with hurricane Dean bearing down on us, it's still too early to know where it will eventually end up. current models have it into the gulf, but Ive seen this time and time again where it's a direct hit for texas, only in the last days make it's hook and swat the carolinas. Either way, better get the coffee roasted if you are in the path in case you lose power for a few days / weeks at worse scenario, that way you can still have your coffee. take care and be safe, my hours are going to change starting monday so I don't know what is in store for me work wise but if it does hit and hits anywhere fairly near here. If anyone needs a hand cleaning up or whatever, you know my e mail and my phone number is easily looked up, give me a holler and ill do what I can to help out. Aaron |
