Now that we have a reasonably sized back yard, I've been thinking of =
hosting an informal Bay area gathering this summer. If you live in or =
will be visiting the San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland area, please let me =
know if you'll be around and interested in getting together either =
Sunday July 30th or Sunday August 6th. I don't know what load my =
electrical system can handle, but we have a couple of outdoor outlets on =
the patio plus some in the garage, so we may be able to set up whatever =
machines people want to bring to play with. I don't have a BBQ, so we =
can't duplicate any of Kona Mike's fantastic food from the PNWGs, but =
pot luck, good company, and terrific coffee should make for a great =
afternoon.

Hi Zara,
Yes, I'm in Los Altos and interested in a Bay Area get-together - and
those dates look OK at this point.

Hi Zara,
This is a very gracious offer. We, 1 roaster and 1 drinker, would be very
interested. It would be great to meet folks. If you have not, it would be
nice to see if Tom and Maria are available!
Cheers,
Geary

Go for it Zara! Wish I could be there to see your new kitchen. (new whole
house but that kitchen...)

You're reminding me that I should have added as an incentive (in place of
your "Q" offerings), that I will bake bread and make some desserts for the
gathering. My new kitchen has an amazing oven (Wolf with a bread/pizza
stone accessory) that produces the best bread I have ever baked. The
second, wall oven is not quite so spectacular, but it does a great job on
cakes, cookies, and sweets in general. I've been turning out a lot of
brownies lately since that's my kids' favorite, but may make something more
adventuresome for the gathering.
Any way of luring you south for the weekend?

Which reminds me, need to make a couple batches of biscotti for next
weekend! Hmmm, blueberry hazelnut and cranberry pecan maybe. The cherry
almond were good last time I made biscotti too though...hmmm. Maybe make a
batch of Kona macnut brownies to have for dessert with 'nilla bean icecream
and Kona infused hotfudge on top, that top it all with whipped cream and
toasted macnuts.
I don't think making it down will be in the cards though we'd love to come
for a visit, but just in case we can swing it which of the two dates has
been finalized?

Hi Zara-
Sorry for the delayed response, we just got home from vacation. The last bay
area gathering was lots of fun. I'd be interested in another. I could bring
down my SCTO if folks were interested. Either date works for us at this
point.

I'd love to be there, but can only make the 6th. Thanks for putting this
together!
